Marion Julian Harrell was 94 years old, born Nov. 4, 1920, in Nansemond County. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Lydia Davis Harrell, the love of his life. He was predeceased by his parents, Marion Sims Harrell and Geneva Darden Harrell, and brothers, Robert Lee Harrell and Gilmer Hudson Harrell.

He is survived by his daughters, Louise Buck (Bobby), Linda Powell (Tommy), Julie Holland (David), and Renee Hobbs (Ed); his 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Julian was a farmer all his life. He was a member of Bethlehem Ruritan Club for many years. He was deacon of Bethlehem Christian Church and of First Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Thurman Hayes Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation prior to the service at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund at 237 N.
