Medicare assistance events set

Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia is holding free information and assistance events to help Medicare-eligible individuals navigate Medicare and Medicare Part D.
Assistance is also available at these free events for those who are currently enrolled and may be eligible for the Part D Low-Income Subsidy “Extra Help” benefit.
The program serves residents of Franklin, Isle of Wight County, Southampton County and Suffolk. It is funded by a grant from the Obici Healthcare Foundation.

Dates and locations are as follows:
Sept. 22 — Carrollton Public Library, 14362 New Towne Haven Lane, 1-3 p.m.
Sept. 23-24 — Suffolk Workforce Development Center, 157 N. Main St., 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sept. 24 — North Suffolk Library, 2000 Bennetts Creek Park Road, 1-3 p.m.
Sept. 29 — Windsor Library, 18 Duke St., 10 a.m. to noon
Sept. 30 — Suffolk Workforce Development Center, 157 N. Main St., 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
