A Windsor woman was arrested Tuesday after several employees at a pediatrician’s office witnessed her abusing her 2-year-old son, a city spokeswoman said.

Della Johanna Fosdick, 25, is charged with abuse and neglect of children and cruelty and injuries to children, according to city spokeswoman Diana Klink.

Officers were called to respond to the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters office in the 1000 block of Hillpoint Boulevard South about 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, Klink said.

The child was released to the custody of a family friend. Child Protective Services was notified, and the investigation is ongoing, Klink added.
