Cynthia Alisa Drayton, 48, passed away on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was born on Feb. 6, 1967, in Rhode Island.

 

She was a 1985 graduate of Suffolk High School and was employed at Autumn Care Nursing Home until her time of death.

Cynthia was a member of New Mount Joy Food for Living Ministries Church.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Drayton; mother, Gladys Manley; son, Lesster Arrington; brothers, Brian Adams (Jimiese) and Joseph Whitehead (Tarnisha); granddaughter, Chloe Arrington; nephews, Jomeik Whitehead, Brandon Adams and Kwame Sears; nieces, Jaque Copeland and Sheriana Pope; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and many other family members and friends.

Ms. Drayton’s visitation will take place from noon to 7 p.m., and the family will receive guests from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 5 at the funeral home. A celebration of life service will take place at noon Tuesday, Oct. 6 at New Mount Joy Food for Living Ministries Church, and she will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
