Police have charged a man with aggravated sexual battery of a victim under 13 after a girl accused him of an assault.

Officers responded to a home on Saturday for an alleged sexual assault that had occurred that evening, city spokeswoman Diana Klink said.

Laron Cortez Baker-Pierce, 23, was arrested. He is known to the victim, Klink added.

Child Protective Services was notified, Klink said. The investigation is ongoing, and no further information was available.
