Howard “Ricky” Marvin Norris Jr., 63, passed away Oct. 27, 2015. He was born in Gastonia, N.C., to Howard Marvin Norris and the late Blandena “Dena” Futrell. He was predeceased by his daughter, Rachel N. Wiggins. Ricky was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War, and was a Bronze Star Medal recipient.

Other than his father, Ricky is survived by his wife, Wanda P. Norris; daughter, Renee H. Byrd (Scotty); son, Richard E. Norris (Sharon); stepsons, Marshall and Marcus Giampocaro; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Teresia A. Thorne (Mike), Juanita L. Howard (Steve); brother, Thomas R. Bowman (Sharon); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at 3 p.m. by his brother, Thomas Bowman, at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434. Condolences may be registered at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
