Suffolk police have concluded that the death of a man whose body was found Friday at the Econo Lodge on Holland Road was a result of homicide.

The body of William Howard Batchelor, 68, of Suffolk was found Friday afternoon, and police were called to the scene at 5:15 p.m., according to Suffolk spokeswoman Diana Klink. Upon arriving at the scene, Klink stated in a press release, officers “found an adult male that was obviously deceased.”

An investigation into the death is under way, and police are waiting for the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the official cause of death.
