A Suffolk man has been charged with two separate robberies of the same store that happened almost 10 months apart.
Marcus T. Knight, 28, was arrested Wednesday and charged with abduction, robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in each incident.
According to a city news release, Knight is charged as the lone suspect in a robbery at the Supreme Holiday Food Store in the 1400 block of Holland Road on Oct. 9. Police said he entered the store at 11:22 a.m. wearing a “Scream”-style mask.
He also is the second man charged in a robbery at the same store on Dec. 23, 2014. Jason W. Ellis, 38 already has been charged and convicted in the December robbery. He was sentenced Aug. 20 to eight years to serve for robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. That robbery occurred at 7:02 p.m., police said.
