Police investigate Long John Silver’s robbery

Suffolk police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Sunday evening at the Long John Silver’s Restaurant in the 1500 block of North Main Street.
Emergency Communications was notified at 9:22 p.m. regarding an incident where a single male suspect armed with a handgun entered the business as employees were preparing to leave for the night. The suspect forced the manager to the safe and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. None of the employees were injured in the incident.
The subject was described as a short black male, wearing a gray hat, bluish-gray scarf, black jacket or shirt and blue jeans. The investigation is ongoing.
