(Re)Stored downtown this weekend

Nearly 30 merchants from all over Hampton Roads have moved into downtown Suffolk for the weekend, offering shoppers a chance to start Christmas shopping with a broad range of vendors and offering business owners the chance to see what it’s like to have a brick-and-mortar store in Suffolk.
Six vacant buildings on North Main and Washington streets will host the merchants, offering a chance to show off the insides of the buildings to potential tenants, as well.

The merchants will be set up in the following buildings:
- The Professional Building, first floor, 100 N. Main St.
- The former Shooting Star Gallery, 118 N. Main St.
- The former Oysterette, 177 N. Main St.
- The former Salvation Army thrift store, 157 W. Washington St.
- The former A.J. Gator’s, 154 W. Washington St.
- 119 E. Washington St.
Children’s festivities, live music and the last two days of Suffolk Restaurant Week will also be going on.
The event runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
