Calvin Felton, 77, of 1645 Nansemond Parkway, transitioned Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at his residence. He was a native of Ahoskie, N.C., and the son of the late Sainty and Rubie Felton. He was preceded in death by his son, Calvin T. Felton. Calvin retired from Newport News Shipyard in 2000 and was a member of First Baptist Church Mahan Street.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Katie L. Felton, of Suffolk; daughter, Pattie Outlaw (Ambrose), of Miami, Fla.; two sons, Warren Felton and Timothy Felton (Tara), both of Richmond; sister, Dian Duke, of Suffolk; brother, Ronald Felton (Peggy), of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at noon Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, at First Baptist Church Mahan Street. The Rev. George Smith will deliver the eulogy. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
