The Portsmouth Police Department is searching for leads or suspects involved in the shooting death of Terrance L. Hoggard Jr. of Beech Street in Suffolk early Thanksgiving morning.
Police found Hoggard, 23, dead of a gunshot wound around 2 a.m. Nov. 26, outside of Roger Brown’s Restaurant and Sports Bar, in the 300 block of High Street in downtown Portsmouth, said Portsmouth Detective Misty Holley, the department’s spokeswoman.
A second victim — an adult male — was found nearby in a city-owned parking garage in the 400 block of Middle Street, Holley said. That victim is in stable condition in a local hospital, she said.
Two off-duty police officers, who were working second jobs in the vicinity, were the first to respond after hearing gunshots in the Olde Towne area, Holley said.
Portsmouth detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
