Joe Bessie Whitehead, 96, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. A funeral service will be held at noon, Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. Interment will be in Mt. Sinai Church Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
