For the sixth year, Mike Duman Auto Sales, the largest independent car dealership in Hampton Roads and the owner of Mike Duman Chevrolet-Buick-GMC in Franklin, wants to help pets and people have the best holiday ever with a “homes for the holidays” discount on adoption fees.

The dealership will donate $25 of the cost to adopt pets from Suffolk Animal Care Center for up to 100 animals through Dec. 31.

“We have adopted wonderful pets from Suffolk Animal Care Center, and they mean the world to me and my family,” said Mike Duman, dealership owner and board member of Suffolk Humane Society. “I hope others who are considering adopting will take advantage of this special offer, give a pet a forever home for the holidays, and give themselves the gift of a loving pet.”

The usual adoption fees are $75 for cats and $95 for dogs. This means that people can get a wonderful cat for only $50 and a great dog for only $70. Fees include spaying or neutering and some shots. The discount will end when 100 pets are adopted.

After completing their pet adoption, people can bring proof of the adoption to the dealership at 2300 Godwin Blvd., Suffolk, and they will receive a check refunding them for $25 of the adoption fee.
