The Rev. Dallas “Dalboy” Sharpe was called home to glory on Dec. 24, 2015. He was born on May 6, 1950, in Bertie County, N.C., to the late Dorsey and Tulia Sharpe Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Delsie L. Sharpe; two daughters, Crystal Sharpe and Kristie Clark (Antonio); one son, Randall Hathaway (Wanda); three sisters, Margaret Scott-Copeland, Bettie Faulk, Annis Jean Wilson; and two brothers, Dorsey Sharpe Jr. and Rodgers Sharpe (Sharon); three grandchildren, Rashaun and Makayla Hathaway and Antonio D. Clark; and a host a nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, Andrew Jackson Watson and Ellic Cobb Sharpe, and a daughter, Delisa Sharpe.

A memorial service will be held on Jan. 2, 2016, at Palm Tree Baptist Church in Whaleyville.
