Elizabeth Smith, 86, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Dec. 25, 2015. She was born on Feb. 7, 1929 to the late Maybelle Smith and Leavy Smith.

She worked at Planters Peanuts for many years and was a devoted member at Metropolitan Baptist Church, where she served diligently on the Usher Board.

A visitation will take place from noon to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at the funeral home. The family will receive guests at the residence of Ms. Carrie Scott, 417 Van Buren Ave., Suffolk, at all other times. A home going service will take place at noon on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, at Metropolitan Baptist Church, and she will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
