The Lakeland High School girls’ basketball team defeated Kecoughtan High School 58-30 on Monday in the Blue Division of the Boo Williams Christmas Classic at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton.

Lady Cavaliers sophomore Makayla Dickens led the way for her team with 19 points, also contributing nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals.

Lakeland sophomore Brianna Copeland registered 18 points and six rebounds, senior Brianna Lynch added nine points, junior Deja Freeman had six points, sophomore Kayla Barnes had four and junior Jevedia Martin had two.
