Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 5100 block of eastbound Holland Road Sunday evening. The crash was reported at 11:45 p.m.

The vehicle had three occupants. One occupant was airlifted via Nightingale to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with possible life-threatening injuries, and the two additional occupants were taken by ground ambulance to Sentara Obici Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

One eastbound lane of Route 58 was shut down as of 1 a.m. and was expected to remain closed for an additional hour.

The accident remains under investigation.
