Three injured in Route 58 crash Sunday

Three people were taken to hospitals, including one with possibly life-threatening injuries, following a single-vehicle accident in the 5100 block of eastbound Route 58 late Sunday night.
Police were notified about the accident at 11:45 p.m., and Suffolk Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the scene to find the three occupants of the vehicle in need of medical attention.
One occupant was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with “possible life-threatening injuries,” according to a press release from the city, and the other two were taken by ambulance for treatment at Sentara Obici Hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
