Lady Saints too much for Ambassadors

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ basketball team visited Norfolk Christian School on Thursday, defeating the Lady Ambassadors 59-47.
The Lady Saints showed strength outside of just their top two offensive threats — seniors Harper Birdsong and Caroline Hogg.
Junior Kelly Hogan led NSA with 17 points, also grabbing 14 rebounds, while Hogg had 15 points, 16 boards, six blocks, three assists and a steal.
Birdsong contributed 11 points, six assists, five rebounds, a block and a steal, junior Lindsay Knierbein had 10 points and two assists and junior Logan Harrell added six points, five assists, four steals and a block.
Nansemond-Suffolk (9-2) visited Hampton Roads Academy on Friday night and hosts Cape Henry Collegiate School on Tuesday.
