The mass choir of Mount Sinai Baptist Church celebrated its ninth anniversary on Dec. 6.

Special guests were the male choirs of both Mount Sinai and Mount Ararat Christian Church.

“When the choir is praising, everyone else is too,” said the Rev. William L. Lang, pastor of Mount Sinai.

Mount Ararat’s choir began the concert with what was described as a “rocking arrangement” of “No Doubt.” The concert ended with Mount Sinai’s men singing an a cappella rendition of “Heaven is a Beautiful Place.”

Lillian W. Gaston is the president of the mass choir, and Charles Haskins Jr. is the minister of music.
