Suffolk is a lucky city lately.
No ticket in Suffolk or anywhere else hit the Powerball jackpot, which now grows to an unprecedented $1.3 billion for Wednesday’s drawing.
However, the only ticket in Virginia that won the $1 million prize in the drawing was sold in Suffolk, at Convenience on the Go at 1441 Holland Road.
In addition, one of 15 Virginia tickets that won $50,000 was sold at the 7-Eleven at 1928 Holland Road.
The wins come just about a week following Ricky Conner’s win of $1 million in the lottery’s New Year’s Raffle. He bought his ticket at the store he owns, Oliver’s Grocery, on Holland Road.
Nearly 500,000 tickets in Virginia won a prize in Saturday’s drawing.
