Zenobia Hunt Bryant

Zenobia Hunt Bryant, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016, at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Richard Hunt and Doris Riddick Hunt.

She attended Suffolk Public Schools. She was a former employee of Lacy’s — Copeland Drive-In. Ms. Bryant was a member of St. Paul Church, where she was a member of the Pastor’s Aide and Senior Choir.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Susan McGee (Henry), of Albany, Ga., and Mazie Ford (Michael), of Suffolk; three sons, Leroy Bryant Jr. (Gisela), of Fayetteville, N.C., Ronald Bryant, of Suffolk, and the Rev. Anthony Bryant (Velma), of Suffolk; three sisters, Doris Johnson, Charlotte Bates and Barbara Beale, all of Suffolk; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Mae C. Brodie, of Suffolk, and Patricia Sullivan of New York; other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at St. Paul Church officiated by the Rev. Anthony Bryant. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
