Cindy B. Cross, 53, of Central Avenue, transitioned Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Sarah Brown Hall. She was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, James A. Cross; three daughters, Clarissa Brown, Nicole Brown and Tennile Cross, all of Suffolk; son, Derek Cross, of Suffolk; two sisters, Cherel Artis (Wayne), of Suffolk, and Betty Hall, of Hampton; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, brothers- and sisters-in-law and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at noon Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, in the Melvin Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home Inc. Pastor Emanuel Myrick will deliver the eulogy, and she will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Condolences to the Cross family may be extended to www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
