Mrs. Ella Sue Hill, the widow of the late Finis Adolph Hill Sr., was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Jan. 25, 2016. She quietly slipped away at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk.

Ella was born July 10, 1941, to Malvin and Malachi Robertson, who both were also called home. Ella is one of seven siblings, a former member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and an active member of Palm Tree Baptist Church for more than 30 years, serving on the Sunday School Board, Senior and Mixed Choral Choirs.

She leaves to cherish her memories six children, 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive guests from 5 to 8 p.m. at 4016 Arthur Drive, Suffolk. Public viewing will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2016. A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at Palm Tree Baptist Church with Pastor Anthony Sommerville presiding. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery alongside her beloved Finis. A repast will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Suffolk Hilton Garden Inn, 100 E. Constance Road, Suffolk, VA 23434.
