A Suffolk man has been arrested following a Monday robbery report.
Diago Lajuan Holland, 36, is charged with use or display of a firearm in commission of a felony, according to city spokeswoman Diana Klink.
Police were called to a residence in the 2400 block of Cherry Blossom Drive shortly before 1 p.m. Monday. The 32-year-old male victim, an employee of a local rental company, had gone to the residence to repossess rental items, according to Klink.
The suspect allegedly entered the victim’s truck, implied he had a weapon and demanded money. The victim was able to get out of the truck, then get back in after the suspect got out, and drive away while contacting police. He wasn’t injured.
The victim told dispatchers that a black male wearing a gray and red hoodie had attempted to rob him. Officers who arrived on scene allegedly found Holland matching the description and placed him under arrest.
The investigation remains ongoing, Klink said.
