Suffolk residents Ricky Sherrando Eley and his wife, Tawanne, both had charges withdrawn in Petersburg General District Court on Tuesday.

A prosecutor in charge of the case chose not to pursue a misdemeanor charge of filing a false police report against Tawanne Eley and a felony charge of hit and run with personal injury against Ricky Eley, according to court documents.

The charges had stemmed from a crash in Petersburg on Oct. 17.
