The repair of a water main leak on Thursday morning will necessitate a traffic detour on Wilroy Road.

The work, and detour, will begin around 8:30 a.m. and last until the work is complete, according to a city press release. The repair is located at the intersection of Wilroy Road and Myrtle Street.

Traffic will be detoured along Elm Street, MacArthur Drive and Proctor Street. Trucks will be detoured along Portsmouth Boulevard to Suburban Drive.

The work may extend to the weekend, depending on the amount of repair work required, according to the release. Nearby water customers may experience an outage of two to three hours.
