Harry Holland, 73, passed away on Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was born on Feb. 20, 1943. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Pearl Holland, and siblings, Fred Holland, Clyde Turner, Henry Dildy, Irvin Dildy and Lenora Almond.

He attended East Suffolk High School and retired from Smithfield Meat Packing Company.

Harry leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Jeanette Diggs, Felicia Turner (Antonio), Voyland Holland (Melissa), Rodney Holland and Rodney Boone (Tabitha); sisters, Shirley Davis (Jerry) and Beulah M. Dildy; brother, William Holland (Rosa); 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

Mr. Holland’s visitation will take place from noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at the funeral home. A celebration of life service will take place at noon Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at the funeral home chapel, and he will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
