Louella G. Davis

Louella G. Davis, of 194 Boulder Rock Drive, Palm Coast, Fla., went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 25, 2016, while under hospice care at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Fla. She was born in Columbus, Ga., and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Roseanna Walton Jenkins and the mother of the late James Willie Gatling.

Mrs. Davis was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Suffolk, and a member of the Bethlehem Christian Church (United), also in Suffolk.

Left behind to mourn her loss and cherish her memory are devoted nieces, Bernadette Biggs, Traci Biggs and Treva Saleem, of Palm Coast, Fla.; devoted nephew and niece, Jensen and Peggy Gill, of Palm Coast, Fla.; a devoted friend, Donald Richardson, affectionately known as “Chicken Red” of Suffolk; and numerous other nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016, at noon at Bethlehem Christian Church (United), 312 Bute St., Suffolk, by the Rev. Emanuel M. Myrick Jr. A viewing will be held before the funeral from 11 a.m. to noon at the church. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
