Police investigate auto-pedestrian crash

The Suffolk Police Department is investigating an auto-pedestrian crash that occurred Sunday afternoon in the area of College Drive and University Boulevard in North Suffolk, according to a city press release.
The crash was reported at 1:36 p.m., according to the release. The driver of the involved vehicle, a Nissan SUV, remained on the scene.
Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded, and the victim, a 15-year-old male, received emergency medical assessment and treatment and was taken by ground ambulance to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment of injuries not considered life-threatening, according to the release.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the teen walked into the roadway, according to the release. The accident remains under investigation.
