Two arrested in fatal shooting

UPDATE: Police have arrested Mandocous Rivers. He is being held at Western Tidewater Regional Jail with no bond.

Earlier: One person has been arrested and another is sought in connection with Friday evening’s homicide.

Suffolk police have arrested a 17-year-old male from Suffolk and charged him with first-degree murder, shoot, stab, cut or wound, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony in connection with the homicide of Aaron L. Hunter on the evening of March 11, according to a city press release.

Police have warrants on file and are asking for the public’s assistance in locating for arrest Mandocous J. Rivers, age 19, of Suffolk, on the same charges in connection with the shooting, according to the release.

The incident remains under investigation. No additional information is available.
