Deputy assessor named

Timothy H. Lamb has been appointed as the deputy assessor, effective Thursday.
Lamb has been working as an appraiser for the city since June 2014, according to a city press release. He has came to the city with 11 years of experience in the appraisal field, six of which were in mass appraisal, according to the release.
Lamb attended Christopher Newport University and Virginia Tech, majoring in biology with a concentration in environmental science. He has taken numerous International Association of Assessing Officers courses.
He is a licensed residential appraiser with the state of Virginia, as well as an IAAO candidate for the CAE designation.
His professional memberships include the International Association of Assessing Officers and the Virginia Association of Assessing Officers.
He and his wife, Debbi, have four children, Woody, Timmy, Lauchnor and McKinley Grace.
