Bobby Curtis Wright entered into eternal rest on March 16, 2016. He was a member of East End Baptist Church for 50 years, where Dr. Wayne Faison serves as senior pastor.

Bobby graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Suffolk and retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, in 1993 as a nuclear electrical supervisor for Shop 99.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Bernice. He was predeceased by one son, Gregory Curtis Wright, and nine siblings. In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish his memory Pamela (Sheldon) West, Sandy Boone, Bart (Betty) Wright, Terry Eley, Hope (William) Dunn; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nephew, Raymond (Alma) Wright; goddaughter, Dr. Aviance Lewis; a devoted niece, Cindy Wright; caretaker, Maurice Withers; and many loyal nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016, at East End Baptist Church, 523 E. Washington St., at 11 a.m. Dr. Wayne Faison will officiate.
