Mary “Liz Allen” Mayfield Johnson, 89, of 4869 Sleepy Hole Road, Suffolk, slept away to her eternal home on Monday, April 18, 2016.

She was the daughter of the late Noah and Mary Allen. She was a member and the mother of Little Zion Baptist Church, 4701 Sleepy Hole Road, Suffolk.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Peoples (William), of Suffolk, and JoAnn White (James), of Chesapeake; four sons, Herman Mayfield Sr. (Cornelia), the Rev. Keith Mayfield Sr., both of Suffolk, Donald Mayfield Sr. (Marchelle) and Kevin Mayfield, both of Portsmouth; other relatives and friends.

A homegoing service will be held Monday, April 25, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Little Grove Baptist Church, 6320 Old Townpoint Road, Suffolk. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 24, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
