William Henry Ricks, 74, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 22, 2016. He was born on Aug. 21, 1941, in Norfolk to the late Lenora Ricks.

He retired from General Foam Plastics.

William leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Viola Ricks; children, Izona Savage and Vernon Savage (Carolyn); sisters, Theresa Loftin and Charlotte Faust (James); brothers, Alexander Ricks and Alphonso McCall; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mr. Ricks’ visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, at the funeral home. A celebration of life service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, April 29 at the funeral home chapel, and he will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
