Travis P. Williams
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Travis P. Williams graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Williams is the son of Alverta S. and stepson of Joseph L. Jones, and brother of Alicia S. Williams, all of Suffolk.
He is a 2010 graduate of Lakeland High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 2014 from Norfolk State University.
Patricia Wright
Patricia K. Wright has been promoted to the rank of colonel in the U.S. Army.
Wright is currently serving as director of personnel development with the Office of the Chief of Transportation, Fort Lee. She has served in the military for 29 years.
Wright is the daughter of Arthur B. and Joanne M. Wright, of Sheffield, Mass., and sister of Lisa J. Wright, of Pittsfield, Mass., Teresa A. Wright, of Newport News, Tonja N. Thornton, of Suffolk, and Stephanie M. Wright, of Sheffield, Mass., and Linda G. Wright of Sheffield, Mass.
She is a 1980 graduate of Mount Everett Regional, Sheffield, Mass. She earned a master’s degree in 2002 from Troy University.
