Police investigate shooting

Suffolk police are investigating a shooting that took place early Sunday morning.

Emergency Communications was notified of the incident that occurred in the 4600 block of Hardy Court in the College Square area at 2:56 a.m., according to a city press release. 

The 20-year-old male victim was taken by ground ambulance to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment of injuries not considered life-threatening.

Detectives are continuing their investigation and do not have a suspect or motive at this time, according to the release. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. When calling Crime Line, callers do not have to give their names or appear in court. If information leads to an arrest, the caller may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
