Lady Saint Madi Currin had a good night, going two-for-two with two runs scored and one run batted in. In the fifth inning, Nansemond-Suffolk gave up a three-run home run, accounting for all of Norfolk Christian’s points.

Wilkins said Delaney Taylor hit a triple to center field to score Emerson Puzey, the first batter. With Taylor on third base, Madi Currin stepped to the box and also tripled to left field to score Taylor.

Brooklyne Carr came up and hit a sacrifice fly to score Madi Currin, then the next batter made the third out.

“This team is finally starting to play to its potential,” said Wilkins.

With this win, Nansemond-Suffolk is now 7-1 in the TCIS standings, behind only Greenbrier Christian.
