Minister Parneshia Reid Gatling, 38, entered into eternal rest and peace on May 29, 2016, at her residence. She was born on Feb. 9, 1977, in Suffolk.

Parneshia was a unit secretary at Lake Prince Woods Assisted Living Facility. She was a devoted member of Upper Room Holiness Church, where she served in ministry.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Susie M. Reid, and uncle, Rodrick Reid.

Parneshia leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband, Keith O. Gatling; daughter, Keondrya S. Gatling; three sons, Keontay M. Gatling, Kemontay A. Gatling, and Marquaris Norman; mother, Lenora Reid; two brothers, Haywood Reid (Felita) and Breion Reid; one sister, Shannon Reid; grandfather, George Lee Reid; four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; two aunts; seven uncles; seven aunts-in-law, one uncle-in-law and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Mrs. Gatling’s visitation will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016, at the funeral home. A celebration of life service will take place at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016, at New Paul’s Temple Church, and she will be laid to rest in the T.E. Cooke-Overton Garden of Carver Memorial Cemetery.
