Forensics investigators are working to determine the nature of a set of human remains found Wednesday at a construction site in the 3700 block of Willow Glenn Circle.
Dispatchers received a call at 1:09 p.m. Wednesday advising them that bones had been found by contractors working on a new development off Bennett’s Creek Park Road, according to Suffolk spokesperson Diana Klink.
Klink stated in a press release on Thursday that the bones have been identified as human remains. Forensics investigators are “on the scene conducting the excavation and investigation,” she stated.
According to Klink, police have not yet determined the age of the remains or whether the area could be part of an old burial ground.
