Police arrest man at motel

Suffolk police arrested a man at a Pruden Boulevard motel Wednesday afternoon, several hours after they arrived to executive several outstanding felony warrants on him.
Eric Lavon Morris, 32, of Suffolk, was arrested about 1:10 p.m. at the Regal Inn in the 2300 block of Pruden Boulevard, according to a press release from city spokeswoman Diana Klink.
Police attempted to serve the warrants at 9:24 a.m., Klink stated.
“The subject initially refused to leave the premises,” according to the press release.
Morris is charged with two counts of grand larceny, petit larceny, four counts of failure to appear on a felony charge, and failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge.
