Mrs. Paige Scott Boykin Silver was born on May 2, 1918, to William and Roberta Scott in Courtland.

“Mother Paige” was one of six children. She married Lloyd K. Boykin in 1937. Together, they had eight children (Alfonso, Allen, Kenneth, Reggie, Debra, Dwight and Harvey). After Lloyd’s death, Paige married Alexander Silver in 1967. Paige took great pride in caring for her family. She departed this life on July 12, 2016. A life celebration service will be held on Monday, July 18, at 1 p.m. at the Metropolitan Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. Harris Funeral Home has been entrusted with the home going service.
