Thomas Purcell Massenburg Sr. departed this life on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, in Norfolk. Thomas was born on March 9, 1934, in Nansemond County, to the late Grady Massenburg Sr. and Sarah Ellen Massenburg.

Mr. Massenburg’s visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, and a celebration of life service will take place at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, at the chapel of T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home Inc. He will be laid to rest at Nansemond Suffolk Cemetery.
