Rickey “Rick” Ricardo Wilson, 62, of the 5500 block of Daniel Smith Road, passed away on Aug. 11, 2016. Rickey was born May 13, 1953 in Suffolk. He was predeceased by his father, Riley Wilson, and brother, Jeffery Lynn Wilson. Rickey and Jeffery were the proud owners of Wilson Brother’s Trucking Co. of Virginia Beach.

Rickey is survived by his son, Rickey R. Wilson Jr.; mother, Allene Barbara Wilson Black; stepfather, Robert E. Black; sisters, Cynthia Chapman and Cheryl Black; brother, Eric L. Black Sr.; uncle, Howard Leon Saunders; nephew, Jeffery Lynn Hawkins (Reka); special friends Delois Perkins and Portica Hawkins; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends; a very, very special pet, Tim-Tim, his dog.

Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, the Rev. Raymond Diggs, officiating. Burial will be at Carver Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk. Metropolitan Funeral Home, Berkley Chapel, is handling services.
