The Suffolk Art Gallery will host a unique photography course this weekend.

“The best camera to have is the one that is with you all the time,” states a press release about the course.

On Aug. 27-28, the Art and the iPhone course will teach attendees how to maximize the photography capabilities of their iPhones.

The course will run from 9 a.m. to noon on both days.

Students will learn how to take professional photos from the palm of their hand. The course will cover the basics of composition, lighting, cropping and output and post-production.

Over the years, the iPhone has been heralded for its photo and video capabilities.

One of the latest models of the phone, the iPhone 6S, features a 12-megapixel camera and has the ability to take 4K video, which is four times the resolution of 1080p high definition video.

Art and the iPhone will only cater to those ages 16 and older. The registration fee is $45. For more information, contact the Suffolk Art Gallery at 514-7284.
