Tyrone Savage Johnson Sr., 55, transitioned into heaven on Aug. 27, 2016. He was born on April 28, 1963, in Suffolk.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah “Penny” Savage.

Tyrone is survived by his wife, Joyce Johnson; his father, Wilmer T. Johnson (Eva); son, Tyrone Savage Johnson Jr.; daughter, Sharita Almond; stepson, Cameron Moore; stepdaughter, Chelsea Hyman; sister, Vanessa Johnson; brother, Thomas Lee Johnson; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Johnson’s visitation will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at the funeral home. The family will receive guests at the residence at all other times. A celebration of life service will take place t 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, at Rising Saint James Pentecostal Holiness Church, and he will be laid to rest in the T.E. Cooke-Overton Garden of Carver Memorial Cemetery.
