The Nansemond River High School Lady Warriors’ volleyball team didn’t have the outcome they would have liked against Hickory High School on Thursday. Coach Robin Smith says there is still work to do.

“We played better this week than last week,” Smith said. “We have to work on communication and our court spacing. We have to make sure we don’t hold on to the last play,” Smith said. “We have to improve our effort.”

The Lady Warriors will play at Indian River at 6 p.m. on Sept. 8.
