Oscar Smith shuts out Warriors

The Nansemond River High School Warriors (1-1) failed to put any points on the board Friday against an Oscar Smith High School (1-1) team seeking blood after an uncharacteristic loss last week.
After shutting out Menchville and scoring more than 60 points last week, the Warriors were not able to repeat the feat on Friday, losing 48-0.
Before the game, coach David Coccoli said he wanted to match the Tigers’ intensity. The Tigers got off to a good start, and the Warriors were not able to recover.
Defensively, the Warriors were overmatched as Khalik Perry of Oscar Smith scored three touchdowns on the night.
