Virginia Eure Kafka, a native of Suffolk and a longtime resident of Daphne, Ala., passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016. Mrs. Kafka was 85.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel H. Eure and Gertrude Ray Eure-Babb, and by her husband, Leonard F. Kafka.

Survivors include her five children, Anna (Doug) Garcia, of Cape Coral, Fla.; Christopher (Tina) Kafka, of Hampton; Lisa (Mike) Walker, of Pell City, Ala.; Kathryn (Roger) Ausborn and Paula (Troy) Guzman, of Daphne, Ala. Also surviving are her brothers, Samuel Eure, of Suffolk, and Jesse Eure, of Newport News, and her sister, Carol (Bob) Clark, of Hampton. Virginia was affectionately known as Me-Maw, Grandma and GG to her nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Private family graveside services will be held at Belforest Catholic Cemetery in Daphne, Ala.
